I found some answers and started my journey. The first tip I found is keep it light. Different shades of white is what it suggested, or pastels. I'm not into pastels so I went with the white. Mirrors are also beneficial when creating the impression a room is larger.
I started with my upstairs bathroom. I loved the stripe idea. I looked up color charts to see where to start. I also looked up design ideas. I found my colors and my design and I began.

The Yellow in the Flowers is the only yellow in the room.I used shades of brown for the stripes and a few other decor tips I will also show you. Keep in mind I am not creative. I know it isn't professional but it shows anyone can do it!
